Connecting Children with Autism to Nature
Meet The Team
*This page is under construction!*
We are a group of passionate high school students who came together with a common goal - to make a difference in the lives of children with autism. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to enjoy the natural world and connect with it in meaningful ways. However, we recognized that many children with autism may face barriers to accessing outdoor spaces and engaging in physical activity, which is why we are dedicated to providing opportunities for them to do so. We all hope to achieve a lasting impact on both the children we interact with and the community we serve as a whole.
Meet the Officer Team

President
Tristin Lin
I have always been fascinated with nature and the outdoors, from its colossal mountains to microscopic fungi. Nature appeals to our souls more than anything else; it can mend and heal what modern technology cannot. I have always loved taking fresh breaths of her air, enriched by the deep vegetation and diverse fauna. Besides my deep appreciation for nature, photography intrigues me, particularly landscape and macro photography. Photography is like the mind of nature, capturing and preserving its deepest beauties while displaying its deep colors and complex yet beautiful compositions. As I stride towards the future, I aspire to share my enthusiasm for nature with my friends, opening their eyes to the luxury in front of them.

Hello I’m Yifan and I’m glad you could join us on this journey! My main skills are in arts and patience when helping people. Naturally, I love nature as well. I’ve always enjoyed the long roadtrips up and down America with my family and two (fairly big) dogs visiting the many national parks. I hope every one of this community will find a better themself in nature and just relax in a carefree experience.

Co-Secretary
Elena Alsup
Hi, I'm Elena Alsup, a sophomore student from Harmony School of Excellence. I enjoy reading, art, and most importantly when it comes to Blossoming in Nature, walking in and experiencing the outdoors. Observing nature and seeing beauty in the outdoors is a peaceful and interesting experience, and I believe that being in nature together can help us show support and build community. Our mission in Blossoming in Nature is this, and I want to help complete that mission.

Eric Wang
Hello, my name is Eric Wang. I am currently enrolled in Jordan High School in Fulshear as a sophomore in the class of 2027. As a passionate advocate for the natural world, I profoundly believe that a strong connection with nature is essential to us as people. A connection with nature offers numerous benefits: reduced stress, improved mental health, and sparked creativity. These are the reasons why I often go outside to play basketball or to workout. In the future, I have interest in going into the healthcare industry due to the fact that I want to help people. I am currently in healthcare organizations like HOSA and honor societies like NHS and NTHS. As I stride towards the future, I wish to foster growth, innovation, and drive a positive change

Rocky -
I love spending my free time outdoors, whether it's playing tennis or hiking, as I believe that the natural world can heal and restore us. Whether I’m exploring nearby nature preserve or embarking on a long backpacking trip in the Rocky Mountains, I am always up for an adventure in the great outdoors. I enjoy observing the plants and animals around me and often take photos or sketches to capture the beauty of my surroundings. Aside from my love for nature, I am also an avid writer and poet. I believe that writing is a powerful tool for self-expression, and I often find inspiration for my poetry in the natural world around me. As I look toward the future, I hope to continue to explore the outdoors, write about my experiences, and share my love for nature with others.

I have always had a passion for art and nature. I have over four years of artistic experience, creating colorful and realistic drawings with a particular interest in using colored pencils. My family and I often visit state and national parks with my friend, Rocky. Together, we have seen numerous national parks, including the Grand Canyon National Park, where he ventured miles below the surface of the canyon; the Arches National Park; Zion National Park; The Black Canyon of Gunnison National Park; and The Rocky Mountains, where Rocky, Tristan, Evan, and I ventured onto the mountain by ourselves, taking on challenging trails and climbing a steep waterfall to reach the beautiful Sky Pond.

My name is Ian. I enjoy computer science and playing my instrument. I've always felt a lack of support from society for children with disabilities like my sister. I hope to make a significant impact on the world by connecting children with autism and the healing qualities of nature, alleviating the stress of both the children and their parents.
