Our March Event at Cullinan Park was a radiant reflection of spring’s awakening—a heartfelt gathering that celebrated nature’s beauty, meaningful connection, and the simple joy of being present together. Tucked beneath the open sky and surrounded by towering trees and peaceful wetlands, the event began with a sense of quiet anticipation, soon brought to life by the smiles and warm greetings of arriving families and volunteers.
With spirits high, the group set off on a scenic nature walk through Cullinan Park’s peaceful trails. The hikers wandered alongside the lake, marveling at the stillness of the water, the vibrant green emerging on the trees, and the distant calls of the birds. Along the way, moments of silence and observation balanced beautifully with playful conversation and laughter.
As the group paused at a wooden overlook with sweeping views of the wetlands, a sense of calm and unity settled over everyone. Some took photos, others simply stood in awe of the scene—the sunlight dancing on the water, the soft rustle of spring leaves, and the distant shimmer of dragonfly wings. It was a moment where nature and community met in quiet harmony.
After returning from the walk, families and volunteers gathered once more for closing reflections and light refreshments. Stories were shared, smiles exchanged, and new friendships blossomed. The children’s excitement, the peaceful backdrop of Cullinan Park, and the care shown by every person present made the day truly special.
A big thanks to the eleven families with special needs who attended the event and our volunteers, Dylan Qin, Allen Qin, Dayle Tumbagahan, Kunsh Kalra, Tristan Lin, Yifan Wu, Elena Alsup, and Emily Alsup for making this event. The event could only be successful with your efforts.
